You will be promoted based on your achievements. Your achievements will take several forms. You will have experience credits; "Creds" which you must exchange for leveling up in the Game. You will be given badges by the commander for accomplishments. Some badges will be given for activities and others for team work and for following the Intergalactic Code. The Commander can strip you of some your badges and you can loose special powers which you have fought to earn if you fail to live up to the Code.
